The 22nd NAOTA Conference – September 8 – 12, 2025 Portland, Oregon
The Oregon Chapter successfully hosted the 22nd NAOTA Conference from September 8–12 at the Crowne Plaza Portland – Downtown Convention Center. The event featured a full schedule of workshops, demonstrations, and activities, all set against the backdrop of Portland’s exceptional early-autumn weather and scenic West Coast surroundings.
Professor Yokohigashi served as the instructor throughout the conference, guiding participants through six workshop formats. The curriculum included Heika, Landscape Moribana, One-Row form, Rimpa, Bunjin, Traditional Color-Scheme Moribana, Free Expression. His instruction was complemented by the support of Grand Master Ingrid Luders. The conference’s success was made possible through the leadership of Conference Chair Carolyn Alter and Co-Chair Diane Sayrizi, along with a dedicated team of volunteers.
